Directions: Mighty Tasty Cereal Cooking Instructions: For a savory hot breakfast cereal bring 3¼ cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt to a boil. Stir in 1 cup cereal and immediately turn heat to very low, continuing to stir until cereal and water are blended. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes 3½ cups. Serve with honey or brown sugar and milk. Add almost any fruit or nuts to increase your breakfast nutrition. |

DirectionsBasic Cooking Instructions
Stovetop: Bring water and salt to a boil. Slowly whisk in cereal, reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 2 minutes.

Microwave: Combine 1/4 cup cereal, 3/4 cup water and a pinch of salt in a microwave safe bowl. Stir well. Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, or until water is fully absorbed, stopping every 30 seconds to stir. Let stand for 2 minutes.
