What is Phellodendron Amurense?
Phellodendron Amurense, also known as Amur Cork Tree is a species of tree native to eastern Asia including China, Korea and Japan. This tree is known for it's thick and corky bark and has long been used for medicinal benefits including anfi-inflammatory properties, antioxidant properites and it's antimicrobial properties.
How Does Phellodendron Amurense Work?
Phellodendron Amurense works through bioactive compounds found in its bark, compounds which include alkaloids like berberine, palmatine and jatrorrhizine which are believed to be responsible for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antimicrobial properties. Some research suggests the berberine found inthis tree may also protect nerve cells.
