Our Kaged Muscle Kasein Review
Mike absolutely loved the chocolate flavor, talk about the benefits of casein, and where Kaged Muscle's heading here:
After years of research and development, I am proud to share with you the next level in Micellar Casein supplements.
KAGED MUSCLE KASEIN is an ultra-premium cold-processed Micellar Casein Isolate that is carefully manufactured from by an innovative micro-filtration process. This filtration method preserves the structural integrity of the protein ensuring that the finished product maintains its natural micellar structure as it is found in milk.
Casein proteins are pH sensitive causing them to thicken in the acidic environment of the stomach. The proteins' ability to form a gel in the stomach slows down the digestion rate allowing for a sustained release of amino acids. This makes casein ideal for nighttime or prolonged periods throughout the day without protein.
Feed Your Muscles
While You Sleep
KAGED MUSCLE KASEIN is a game-changing ANTI-CATABOLIC protein that you can't live without if you are serious about adding size and strength. During the night your body goes the longest period of time without food. Fasting for 6-8 hours, the body starts going into a catabolic state as it has gone a long duration of time without any nutrients. KASEIN slowly and continuously feeds your muscles a steady supply of muscle-building essential amino acids for several hours. This plays an important part in maintaining a positive nitrogen balance and long-term anabolic state by preventing muscle protein breakdown.*
The effects of this slow amino acid release have been investigated in a number of studies and have been shown to be very effective at promoting an anti-catabolic environment for muscle growth. (1)*
Say Good-Bye to old school
Gritty & Sandy Textured Casein Protein Powders
Not only did my KAGED MUSCLE R&D team build the highest quality Micellar Casein, they took it the NEXT LEVEL by nailing AMAZING milkshake-like flavors for both our NATURALLY flavored and NATURALLY colored vanilla and chocolate options. These flavors are like nothing else you have ever tried! Our R&D team spent over 6 months just working on the flavor systems alone simply because I insisted on its being NATURAL. There's no reason why you cannot get the results you crave while improving your health and enjoying the taste of your supplements at the same time.
Why Kaged Muscle Kasein
vs. Other Casein Supplements
The answer is simple–all our ingredients meet MICROPURE standards which means they are third party tested for purity and potency. In return for a premium price, KAGED MUSCLE's manufacturers commit to strict ethical and environmental standards, ensuring our ingredients are manufactured with care.
MICROPURE Micellar Casein Isolate is the first of a new generation of dairy ingredients which combine superior nutrition and enhanced functionality. The starting point for this ULTRA-Premium Slow-Release Protein is the clean raw milk source used. It is then gently processed by an innovative low temperature ceramic micro-filtration method that preserves the natural micellar structure.

Dare to Compare
To The Competition
I am going to reveal some dirty tricks used by many leading supplement companies. This may ruffle some feathers, however, it is my job to make sure you get the facts so you can purchase based on factual knowledge and not marketing hype that over promises and under delivers.
If you are serious with your supplements and training, you owe it to yourself to know these facts before purchasing another casein supplement.
There are many low-cost manufacturing methods for casein protein that many top brands use to cut corners with your results, while increasing their bottom line by using cheaply made ingredients that save them money.
NOT ALL casein is the same.
The type used in the French study was Micellar Casein, which is isolated from milk by filtration, rather than by use of acid or heat. The filtration method I use preserves the structural integrity of the protein, unlike what occurs in other processing methods that many others use.
When heat or acid is used to separate casein out of milk, the micelle's structures are altered, resulting in a loss of biological activity and digestibility.
How does Micellar Casein differ from Calcium or Sodium Caseinate?
Calcium Caseinate is casein protein which has been separated from skimmed milk with the use of an acid. This means the final protein is not in its natural Micellar structure; the protein is effectively denatured.
After the casein has been precipitated by acid, the mixture is heated again. This causes the protein to further thermolyze and degrade into smaller components, which agglomerate together to form clumps of curd. The curd is then dewatered by high-sheer centrifuging. At this point, the casein has been treated with acid and heat, which literally destroy the integrity of the protein. So, what do you end up paying for? Nothing! You are simply being ripped off. I wont allow that….for me or you.
Raw milk casein is made out of a complex group of protein clusters called micelles, which are bound with calcium, phosphate, and citrate ions and exist at a neutral pH of approximately 6.6, roughly the same as your body's pH. Native Micellar Casein complements your body's acid-base balance and will not cause an acidic effect. That's unlike many top brands' caseins, which are highly acidifying and need to be chemically alkalized to be edible.
How can you tell which kind of casein you are taking? In the nutrition panel the first ingredient listed should be Micellar Casein. If the brand you are taking is not Micellar Casein, then it's time for a trade-in.
Questions I Get Asked Frequently
Why didn't you include a digestive enzyme in KASEIN?
Whey protein, which is FAST in digestion requires a digestive enzyme in order to break it down quickly to be fully utilized, especially post workout….as we do in RE-KAGED. KAGED MUSCLE's Premium Micellar Casein Isolate, on the other hand, has a VERY SLOW digestion rate which does not require a digestive enzyme to help rapidly digest/break it down into a usable form of amino acids. Instead, Micellar Casein is slowly digested over a 5-7-hour period, supplying a steady supply of muscle-building amino acids.* Several leading brands' casein proteins use a digestive enzyme to help combat their higher lactose levels due to using a lower-quality protein source. Casein products containing higher amounts of lactose can cause gastric distress to those that are lactose sensitive. You won't have to worry about this with our KASEIN as it has less than 1g of lactose per serving, making it ideal for those who are sensitive to lactose.
Why did you include coconut oil in KASEIN?
Coconut oil is essential to help slow the casein break down. The non-genetically engineered coconut oil supplies a sustained release source of healthy fats. Coconut oil's saturated fat is made up mostly of medium-chain triglycerides, or MCTs.
Which protein source is better, Whey or Micellar Casein?
Protein powders, like all supplements, are tools that help you accomplish your fitness goals. Using the RIGHT tools at the RIGHT times makes a BIG difference.
Example: Using a pair of pliers to remove a screw versus using a screwdriver—one is more efficient at getting the job done, however, both will work. Use RE-KAGED post workout or at breakfast and then use the Micellar KASEIN before bed.
Below are a few tips on how I get the best out of both my RE-KAGED and KASEIN protein powders:
*During the day and post workout, use a fast-acting whey protein isolate like KAGED MUSCLE's RE-KAGED.
*At night or during the day when you will not be eating a protein source for 4+ hours, use a premium slow-release Micellar Casein such as KAGED KASEIN
The reasons: During the day and after exercise your muscles need fast-digesting protein such as whey to counteract the catabolic effect of physical exercise and help with recovery and muscle growth.
However, at night KASEIN is KING and has the anabolic advantage over longer periods of time due its ability to induce a slow and steady release of amino acids to your muscles for several hours, keeping your muscles fed while you sleep.
If you are currently not feeding your body with sustained release amino acids while you sleep, you are making a BIG mistake! Nighttime is one of the most critical windows to give your muscles a steady supply of amino acids in order to remain nitrogen positive.*
