A study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacol showed that the extract of Turnera diffusa and two isolated compounds, pinocembrin and acacetin, could significantly suppress aromatase activity. This 6-month, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized, partial crossover, comparative trial of Urtica dioica with placebo in 620 patients was conducted.
