Fuel up your body and mind for optimal performance with the energizing nutrition of Pharmaceutical Grade MCT Pure, derived exclusively from coconut oil. Fitness enthusiasts the world over are raving about coconut oil, hailed as a super source of quick energy to fuel physical performance. That’s because coconut oil features medium chain triglycerides (MCT), which are converted directly into energy to quickly fuel the brain and body. But it’s important to understand that not all MCT sources are the same.
The primary MCTs found in coconut oil are lauric acid, capric acid and caprylic acid, with lauric acid accounting for roughly half of total MCT content. However, most of the health benefits attributed to MCT oils are associated with the capric and caprylic acid portions. The reason for this is that, in the body, lauric acid acts more like a long-chain triglyceride and must be broken down in the liver, and is thus less suitable as a quick energy source. Our Pharmaceutical Grade MCT Pure is made from coconut oil with nearly all of the lauric acid removed, delivering a minimum 500 mg of caprylic acid and 340 mg of capric acid per softgel.
