What It Measures:

Reproductive Hormones (Blood Spot)
The reproductive hormones – estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH) – work synergistically to promote fertility and support a healthy pregnancy. When their levels are out of balance, fertility can be impeded.

Thyroid Hormones (Blood Spot)
During pregnancy, a woman's need is higher for thyroid hormones than when she is not pregnant, so healthy levels are important for a healthy pregnancy. An underactive thyroid gland can be one cause of menstrual cycle irregularities, while an overactive thyroid gland can interfere with normal levels of reproductive hormones.

Adrenal Hormones (Blood Spot, Saliva)
The two adrenal hormones – DHEA and cortisol – are in direct competition with one another, because the body makes DHEA and cortisol using the same hormone substrate – pregnenolone.
